I never understood why this fic didn't make more of a splash in the Buffy fandom. It is the only fic that has ever made me believe in B/F. Buffy

I had issues choosing between this and Gonzo Sunset, but Sotto Voce wins out. It is a Tara POV poem, one good enough to make me think of Wallace Stevens, and that is the highest praise I can give it. Buffy

I still can't articulate why and how I love this fic. It's been a few years since the first time I read it. Yeah. Giles, Ethan, and Xander: a triptych of unfulfilled desire. Buffy

The story that broke me and then made me anew in its image. If I hadn't read this, reading fanfiction would probably have been a phase for me. Buffy

the Identical series by Lanning Cook
Hmm, my favorite tall tale. I tend toward canon heavy stories, usually, but this series is so grounded in its dead-on and incisive characterization, that I often get it mixed up with the show in my head. Just wonderful. Plus, original characters I actually want to know more about. Smallville

The Rules Of Blue by Thamiris
With all the doom on the horizon in Smallville, the amount of humor in fic is impressive, but nothing compares to this story for me. Laugh out loud funny, hot, and still feels plausible. Smallville

Lick The Pavement by Wax Jism
Back to feeding my pervy nature, this story felt like a punch to the face accompanied by an orgasm. Smirking cynicism runs through it, and I'm a little scared to admit I sound like this a lot in my own head. Popslash (Eminem/JC Chasez)
