...here's a little list of things that are currently making me exceedingly happy:
- Managed to pay my cable/internet bill thus ensuring access to both the QAF season finale and the season premiere of Dead Like Me without selling the ring my mom gave me (said ring is gold and therefore never worn but still I was feeling really bad about even considering selling it).
- Said maternal unit just underwent surgery and while we're still waiting for the results of the biopsy to rule out the C-word, her doctor seems pretty certain that all will be fine. Which made the knot I've been carrying around in the pit of my stomach for the last week or so dissipate somewhat. I want a clean bill of health carved in stone if at all possible but, for now, "probably ok" will do.
- My Buffy tee. I generally forget how much I love the damn thing since I'm not really a fan of the short sleeve (specially when on public transportation, people have a tendency to stare at the hundred or so scars on my arm) but, I wore it today on my errands and this girl sitting across from me all cuddled up with her boyfriend made an effort to push past the headphones, point to my chest, and give me a big smile and a thumbs up. Every single time I've worn this shirt I've run across a Buffy fan. It's so cool.
- My newly burned Garbage highlights CD. It's got every song of theirs that I love and none of the ones that bore me and yes, I still think "Cherry Lips" is Justin Timberlake-on-the-verge-of-solo-CD's theme song. Don't believe me? Check out the ( lyrics )
...always reminds me of Justin in drag, too; which is something else that makes me happy! I think I'll dig up my tape of his stint on SNL some time tonight.
