Guess there just hasn't been much to report.
My tv viewing has gone way down. Even the incest failed to get me hooked on Lost (although the storyline was very well done, I thought) so, I think it's safe to say that I'm not ever really going to watch that show. Although I probably will continue to download episodes here and there when the flist squeals loudly. *g*
It does have a lot of awfully pretty boys, and some kind of weird, other-worldly element, so I don't know what my problem with the show is... Maybe it's just that the way they focus the episodes on one or two characters at a time keeps me from getting too interested in any of them. That might be it. It just jumps from one spot to the other while showing all these little pieces of backstory that are then put aside for-e-ver, it seems. All in all, I've seen about seven episodes from the pilot to the next-to-last one, and I still feel like it's all exposition. I keep wondering when the season is really going to start.
I guess that means there's some hope of digging it in the second season, though. ::shrugs::
The OC is just there. Mindless and recently bordering on stupid, but still snarky and slashy enough to be enjoyable.
The only thing I'm really caught up in is Veronica Mars, actually. Just such a good show. Tightly focused on the over-reaching storyline, but with interesting and fun side-trips, and really well-drawn and complex characters. Me likey.
Part of the lack of interest is due to work, no doubt. My schedule is just so random it makes it hard to get attached to watching anything, since I never know when I'll be home from one day to the next. I will make the effort for Battlestar Galactica though, because the first three episodes have just kicked. so. much. ass. (
vhscrowers, if you have Sci-Fi, you should definitely check it out!)
Oookay, ::looks up:: this really was just supposed to be a GIP. Huh.
Well, here's the new stuff, because I still love my PhotoShop, even if we haven't being seeing much of each other lately.
Serial Experiments Lain. It's my new favorite icon. Yes, it is. Lain and the wires and lyric courtesy of Nick Cave. One of the things that always struck me about this series is how cinematic it feels. The constant hum of the power lines is a big factor in creating that feel so I'm just... in love.
My two slayers: So in love; so twisted and fucked up. Hee. This shot has been weconned to death I'm sure, but I still love it. Maybe I'll come up with some text for it at some point.
Eliza Dushku. The keyword is "beauty" altough it should probably be "where the hell is Tru Calling already, you bastards!".
I also made another SEL icon,
so if anyone wants it, let me know.
