my utter lack of life

I just finished my third 11-hour-workday in a row. The only other person that works the registry had a family emergency and she's off in Georgia "for at least another three weeks, maybe more", so I've been getting called at home on my days off, too. Joy!

The overtime pay will be sweet, but I'm all wedding-ed out and I still have to work until Wednesday. *gulp*

In spite of all that, I did manage to go to ManRay last Saturday and listen to the new NIN. It's terribly techno-y. Bah! I just knew that VNV Nation would eventually destroy all the music I love. LOL! A few songs did jump out at me, but I get the feeling that I won't love this CD. Of course, I wasn't terribly thrilled with "The Fragile" on first listen, and now I love (most of) it, so...

I have had a random resurgence of my Placebo love out of nowhere, though. I burned myself a CD of all my favorites that's been making me all angsty on the commute. FYI, "Without you, I'm Nothing" and "Every You Every Me" are great songs to listen to when you're on your way to help happy couples in love register for their weddings. *snerk* It should get me through to my next day off, anyway, and since I'm not going in on Thursday or Friday, no matter how much they beg, I'm definitely going out. So, Wednesday: ManRay, anyone?

Ooooh, there's new Smallville that night too... Ok, that's going to be my best night ever. Lex and Clark and booze and pretty boys and girls all dressed in black!
