I finagled two days in a row away from the bridal desk of doom(tm). Yippee!
Good thing too, since I was about to give up my Netflix for lack of time. So, yesterday I did a little cleaning (very, very little ::facepalm::) and then I watched Return of the Joker and Closer.
I now live in the afterglow of twisted-movie-watching. *g*
Return of the Joker is freaking insane. I can't believe how long it took me to get around to watching it. I wish I had the excuse of not having heard how good this was, but I really, really don't. So, I read some Te!fic, and then I put on Closer.
... And the twisted keeps on coming. I absolutely adored this movie. It was strangely compelling considering that it's basically two hours of people talking bullshit about love and fucking around on each other. I'm not quite sure how they did that, although I am sure that the pretty exploding all over the screen didn't hurt a bit. (I kept having the "he/she is sooo pretty" moments all throughout. Hee.) The actors were all amazing. Also, kickass ending.
I have Shaun of the Dead waiting for tonight. After that, they're sending me Taken. Eric Close, alien abductions, and a really good plot, yay!
I have to do this time off thing more often. For now though, I think I'll get out of the apartment and go walkabout. The city beckons.
(Or possibly just the pot of lapsang souchong and thick slices of toast I'm thinking of having at Trident. Yum)
