I headed in to work today, and it turned out that I didn't have to be there. Great. As I'm feeling ridiculously exhausted after a week of over-time bridal desk duty and last nights at ManRay, I was more than happy to turn around and go back home.
So happy to find my order waiting in my mailbox. I now have seven imps. They sent me an extra.
Smells like sweet pipe tobacco in the bottle and nothing else, but once it went on, all I could smell was leather. After it dried the tobacco came back, although nowhere as sweet as it smells in the vial, and hours later the incense made itself known. It's so much softer a scent than I imagined from the ingredients. It goes on hot and strong on me but it faded into this soft and warm old leather-bound books in a library smell. I think I'm love.
This one smelled so much like cherries, I almost didn't want to put in on. The cherry vanished the second it went on, though, and all I could smell was the dragon's blood resin. Sharp, and bitter until it dried, then the cherry came back. The cloves showed up later. And the myrr hours later. Now (about six hours later), it's still going strong, but all the notes have blended into each other so that I can't really pick them apart. Absolutely yummy. This is really strong and only a little bit sweet on me, mostly sharp and woodsy. I'm definitely going to order something else with dragon's blood next time. I basically got this so I could suss out that scent without a lot of other notes, and I really love it.
Still in their little vials waiting for my now-mandatory second shower (LOL): Swank, Perversion, Nephilim, Neo-Tokyo and Machu-Picchu. Can't wait.

"Machu Picchu": Sweet tropical fruits burst through deep, wet rainforest boughs, enormous steamy blossoms, over thin mountaintop breezes, mingled with the soft, rich golden scent of Peruvian amber.Way cool. Smells yummy in the bottle and it's not something I would have ordered for myself. I wish that I hadn't put on perfume this morning, so I could try at least two more. Alas, as my wrists are still very Escape-y, I made do with my inner arms.
