Slogging through the snow to go get food might have sucked but the frozen margarita I'm now enjoying makes it all worth it.

I did get food, too. It's just that the margarita mix was right there and then I saw the te-kill-ya and I have this nifty little mixer... Heh.

Fannish update:

It's been so long since I wrote about anything other than icky rl stuff, I thought I should go over what I'm watching, reading, and being generally squeeful about, since I am feeling much better and hope to be around the el-jay again:

-SG-1 - All ten seasons watched in under a month. No wonder I have no life! LOL

-SGA - I vaguely remember being somewhat irked when my entire flist got obsessed with this show seemingly overnight. I even tried to watch once in the first season and it just didn't grab me at all (I can't even remember what episode it was.) Three years later... Yeah, I don't know either.

-Supernatural - I'm... watching. Not really reading right now. SG-1 and SG:A have taken over my reading list. Up until last week I would have said that I wasn't even liking this season and I do still have some issues with the way things have played out, but the last two eps have managed to get my interest going again.

-Torchwood - There is just no bad in this show. It can be as silly and overwrought as it likes and I'll still be all over it. Oh! I want my very own Ianto.

-Bones, Bones, Bones! I am loving this show sooo hard this season! It's always been my go to show- not amazing, but totally solid entertainment. For some reason, I'm just all over it now.

- Batman still owns my soul even though Damian can kiss my ass. Tim is my Tim is the bestest Tim in the world and the new Nightwing writer shows some promise. I haven't picked up anything other than Batboys and Countdown but I think I'll go shopping soon. I have no doubt that DC will find some way of pissing me off, because they always have in the past, but I keep coming back so...

- My local Borders has a ton of tasty yaoi and now I've had to put a limit on how often I'll let myself go in there. Heh.

- In the book realm - I'm finally going to finish reading the Wraeththu histories, which I started reading but lost momentum. I think re-reading the original trilogy right before I started reading the second was a bad move. The contrast in POV from the intimacy of first person narration to third person just killed me. The whole thing just read so flat... it was really weird. I think I'm ready to give it another shot, though.

That's about it, I think. I've lost touch with Criminal Minds and House but I have the eps, so I'm sure I'll end up watching them sooner or later.

Mmmm, out of 'rita. Later.

I dl'd the movie but it hurts my eyes so I'm probably going to wait until it's actually released to watch it.

Next time I allow myself to step into a Borders I'll check out the Briggs books. LOL

I finished watching series 10 of SG1 recently, then started on SGA... and really just not digging it. I'll watch a bit more sometime, but pretty low on my list. House, on the other hand, I've been liking a lot. The recent one about the Doc at the south pole especially.

I can see that. I saw SG:A first, so SG-1 didn't spoil me. I think SG-1 has more meat on its bones than Atlantis, which I enjoy as crack-y eye candy more than anything else.

I was loving House up until I stopped watching. I think the initial premise of the season really gave them a lot to play with. I'm waiting for my current obsessions to abate a little and then I'll play catch up. *g*

It's a good little show. My favorite episode so far is 2nd season's Sex, Birth, Death- with the teenage sexual sadist-to-be approaching Reid on the metro.

I've only seen the first few for the 3rd season. We should do a marathon!
