I don't usually write my dreams down, but this one was just way too bizarre.
It was one of those dreams-within-dreams deals. I sitting around a projection screen with what seemed like everyone I'd ever met, watching movies.
The first movie was the animated epic of a rat sent out in medieval times to save the world. That's what it looked like anyway. The teaser was this animated character (you couldn't see its face at all) in armor, gathering supplies and tossing them on a ship while a pompous voice-over described how dangerous and important its mission was. Then it abruptly stopped with a: "Realizing that his mission was vital, blah, blah, blah, he decided not to go." Then the character ran away from the ship, started taking off the armor and that's when we could all see that it was a rat. The rest of the movie is a blur, although I'm pretty sure I watched the whole thing in the dream. Mostly lots of people trying to find this poor rat and get it to sacrifice itself for the world, the rat running away from them, and this one kitchen maid helping it out. The entire sequence was animated in my dream, too. Really colorful and very vivid.
The second movie is a complete blank. All I remember is sitting around talking with a friend while it was playing and making fun of Fred Durst.
The third movie was insane. This long, plotted story about two little girls. When they're very young (five to seven, by the looks of it) one of them gets shot while they're both playing outside. A woman that has some kind of street cart runs to help her, while dodging bullets, and the little girl survives. Then, the movie tracked all of them as a decade or so went by, with the major twist involving an affair between the (now in her twenties) girl that got shot and the husband of the woman who saved her life.
Ok, sometimes my brain worries me.
