Feeling chatty about the eps tonight.
Smallville
I don't want to harsh anybody's mellow, but this episode was just a long slide into blah. Memo to the writers: When your one and only plot twist is in the first five minutes of the episode, you might want to consider a re-write.
Lana is reaching heights of annoyance heretofore unexplored by any character on any show *ever*. I felt like reaching through the tv and strangling her all episode long. I've never loved the character, but I'm beginning to feel like she makes the show unwatchable.
On the shallow end, Clark is so very pretty when he's making out.
The OC
Just downloaded this and watched it a bit before 'Smallville' started.
OMG!!! I don't think I've laughed this hard during an episode since we got Harmony's-day-on-the-job in 'Angel'.
Moments where my screaming probably frightened my neighbors:
- Seth, Seth, Seth!!! Asking Ryan for advice, the "limbs were everywhere" bit, the utter despair in the face of bad, bad sex! Every single line out of the boys mouth had me rolling, but "the talk" with Sandy will go down in history as one of my favorite TV moments ever.
- Speaking of which: Sandy, Sandy, Sandy!!! His utter delight at Seth having slept with Summer was freakin' hysterical.
- Luke and the evil one. OK, I think that scream was partly terror, but still, funny. Just, you know, in a really scary way.
I don't much care for the re-introduction of Theresa, but that's just because I don't know enough about her to find her interesting. However, Ryan's refusal to let Marissa slide thrilled me down to my tippy-toes. I might have been cheering him on during their last scene.
...and now, I'm going to watch 'Angel' (sob!) which looks very promising from the previews. Then, I'm getting dressed and going to ManRay.
I love Wednesdays.
