I have discovered a new love for my bed. I slept something like 12 hours today. I must inform all my friends as soon as possible, specially all my former roommates, since I used to be really smug about my six hours a night maximum. ::grin::

I don't know why I've suddenly developed a thing for taking naps, but I think I like it.

I have a plan for tomorrow. It consists of spending all day in bed re-reading the Wraeththu books. I can't wait. It's been over a year since I last read them and they are definitely my favorite dark fantasy series. As in number one. I don't think there's any other category where I can actually declare a book my favorite. Except maybe stream-of-consciousness-novels-I-read-in-high-school, where Virginia Woolf's To the Lighthouse would totally come in first. Huh. Maybe I'll dig up a copy and read that again as well. Although I did cry for hours after I first read it, so I don't know about that.

On other news, I think I might be able to make JC's New York show, should it not sell out before the tickets are available at my local Ticketmaster. Weee! Does anyone know if the Roseland Ballroom show is 21+? I'd love for it to be. I'm still singing "bitches" on Some Girls. LOL

the Wraeththu books

Hmm, been a couple of years since I read the original trilogy...

I read them again periodically but it's been a while. So, yeah, that's the plan. I'm just about to finish Anne Bishop's Black Jewels Trilogy (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0451456718/103-7387821-4336643). Have you read those? They're in my top ten.

I havn't read those, no. I'll add them to my list for when I get back...

I finally found the trilogy in one volume yesterday. Something to read while I'm on vacation next month :)

I read it (the trilogy in one volume) between hiking in the last couple of days. Good book, i can see why you like it and see some things it has in common with Wraeththu (in style more than content)...

I still sing "bitches," too. I was shocked the first time I heard it, but I put in my CD with the PromoSquad clips yesterday, and I realized how much better the song was with the bitches.

It just flows (and rhymes!) better with "bitches". LOL

Plus, I got used to singing it that way from the clips so, yeah. I want it back!
