Not only did my hair not fall out, it is now a lovely medium reddish brown. Wheee!

It's nearly impossible to tell unless I'm standing in bright sunlight (which never happens, lil' goth thing that I am *g*) not to mention terribly improbable given that I'm puertorican, but my natural hair color is actually a really dark shade of auburn. The blonde dye did exactly what I hoped it would. It lightened my hair about two shades and brought out all the red in it.

The new color is subtle enough that I can just let the roots go and it won't look too horrible, I think, so that's good. I really needed a change, but I was dreading the work.

This is so much better than the first time I tried to go lighter. That resulted in black hair with orange stripes! I was trying to bleach out blue-black dye from my hair, though, so... I should probably just be grateful that it didn't fall out then. Hehe.

To conclude my totally shallow hair color post, Garnier's 100% Color is the shit! One box was more than enough for my hair, which comes down to the middle of my back, it delivered serious color with lots of highlights, and it comes with a ton of conditioner.
